महाराष्ट्र में लोग इस त्योहार को रंगपंचमी ,स्थानीय लोग  शिमगा या शिमगो के नाम  से  जानते  है,रंगो का ये उत्सव यहाँ पांच दिनों तक मनाया जाता है  ये त्योहार विशेष रूप से मछुआरों के बीच काफी लोकप्रिय  है लोग नाचते है गाते है अजीबोगरीब अंदाज में मुंह से आवाज निकालते हैं और अपने हाथों से पीठ के बल मुंह मारते हैं।
