Holi is a very ancient festival which is celebrated with great religious rituals and enthusiasm, especially in India . A few weeks before the festival, people start collecting wood for Holika."Spirited competition between neighbouring localities adds a unique excitement. More wood from the big Holi fire ensures that a large pile of wood is collected at the time of the actual festival. Holika Dahan takes place on the eve of Holi."Holika, who was the sister of the devil mind of devil King Hiranyakashyapa, is burnt with  in wood. The Holika who tried to kill Prahlad, the son of Hiranyakashipu, a devotee of Lord Narayana. This ceremony symbolizes the victory of good over evil and also the victory of the true devotee. During Holika Dahan, children do a lot of mischief, they make lanes as if they are trying to chase the finder.

Worshiping Mother Holika and taking embers from the Holika Dahan to ignite the household stove is considered an auspicious ritual.होली के कई रंग

💢 COLOR CERAMONY

The main day of Holi celebrations takes place on the next day of Holika Dahan, this day is called Dhuleti. On this day people get the excitement of playing with different colors of different colors, especially in North India. It is celebrated on a wide scale, anyone can add color to anyone. People sprinkle colored water on each other with the pitchers and there is a different kind of good feeling among the people, Mathura located in North India. Vrindavan's tradition of color play is world famous. Holi is celebrated with immense enthusiasm and joy in states like Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, and Gujarat. Bollywood also presents its kind of village in the color of this Holi and adds to the enthusiasm of the people, especially in a very popular song"Rang Barase Bheje Chunar Wali Rang Barse" which was sung by the great superstar Shri Amitabh Bachchan and was written by his father reputedly North Indian  Mr. Harivansh rai bachhan   is very famous, People sing songs and dance by playing drums. Amidst all these celebrations, people delight in savoring a variety of traditional Holi dishes like Gujhiya, Mathri, Malpua, and more. Drinks, particularly those infused with the cooling essence of cannabis, play an invigorating role in the Holi festivities. Cold is fine, but if cannabis is taken in high quantity, it can cause harm, People take great care in taking it but people should also do it because "Do not mind Holi."

: However, people in South India follow the tradition of worshiping Kamadeva, the god of Indian mythology. People believe in the legend that speaks of Kamadeva's great sacrifice when he shot his love arrow at Lord Shiva to distract him and arouse his interest in worldly affairs. Later, on an eventful and fun day people get a little quiet in the evening. On this festive day, the excitement and energy among people peak before noon, but as the evening sets in, the atmosphere turns calm. People visit friends and relatives at their homes, exchange sweets, and share warm greetings.
